Thinking is not just an activity of daily routine but also a way to bring the revolutionary change in a personality, nation, and society. It does not belong to any age group or any specifications, it just needs to be of quality. Therefore, it is vital to have reflective and inquisitive thinking with the problem -solving approach.
Critical thinking results in a desirable outcome which is mostly goal-oriented. It involves analysis and evaluation before coming to a judgment. It generates questions, the mind tries to have a problem -solving approach and make logics.
Powerful thinking is one that is reflective and inquisitive. This is a very important component for transforming students, young, adults. Reflective thinking is simply to go in the depth of actions and reason for doing them; it means to understand something in a better way and exploration of emotions and reactions. Developing such kind of thinking is not everyone’s cup of tea. Therefore, a contest like a civic education contest can play a significant role in developing it which demands problem- solving approaches as well. Such kind of thinking gives rise to a questioning attitude and capacity to respond well to new challenges. It not only brings transformation but skills that can showcase one’s perspective very well. Reflective thinking and problem – solving go hand in hand as both comprise of knowledge, and facts.

Coming to inquisitive thinking! It has curiosity as an emblem. It takes forms like exploration and experimentation. It also results in better and ways to improve outcomes. It demands logical and systematic outcomes. An inquisitive mind keeps the door open for new things. Behind an inquisitive mind, there is a motivated desire for information and this desire could be passion or an appetite to find the unseen. Such types of thinking give birth to creativity which is unmatchable many times and once creativity gets embedded then the mind does not look forward to limitations, ask for ”how” or “why not”. In the end, it fortifies problem-solving ability. This type of thinking is highly needed to handle the concept of democracy because people choose to have discussions inspite of coming with an appropriate solution. Other than creativity inquisitive thinking cater to independence, not only for learning but a skill for entire life.
All in all, a human mind is highly capable and we use only a few amounts of it. It is in our hands either to rupture the creative part of the mind or sharpen it through reflective and inquisitive thinking with a problem- solving approach.
