Actizen Contest

Several leaders and organizations are making an effort to bring a change in society and trying to develop innovative ways to do. What they lack behind is awareness! Awareness brings consciousness. Desh Apnaye, a non-governmental organization is willing to bring the change by introducing a civic education contest named ACTIZEN   to make young minds an active citizen, which beliefs in strengthening the three pillars which citizenship education, volunteering, and community action. This is not just an inter-school contest but an opportunity to architect the country’s future by giving a helping hand to accelerate the thinking process of young minds. This quiz aims at bringing awareness among not only in adults but among school children ranging from grades seven to nine. The quiz is planned in stages and the winner will be facilitated with trophies and certificates as well as a chance to feature in a short film made in collaboration with the team behind the film ‘Dangal’. Being a citizen of a transformative country like India it’s the duty of every citizen no matter what age group they belong to come out with what they perceive. Desh Apnaye an NGO has come up with a new way of making citizens not just a citizen but an informed and active citizen for a better future through inter-school contest named Actizen a citizenship education contest . Desh Apnaye Foundation aims to upgrade patriotism amongst the youth. This is not just a contest for students but a way to contour young minds for a concept of democracy. The contest is for students between grades seven and nine. It aims at preparing young minds to solve the big issues. This civic education contest’s motto is DEMOCRACY 2.0.
